Sant Martí Bridge over the Merlés river in Santa María de Merlés, Barcelona (Spain)

A Frontanyà cerca la passa
del riu Merlès capçal airós,
del Berguedà a l'escapada,
del Matamala a l'hort frondós.
...
In Frontanyà look for the raisin
of the river Merlès airy head,
from Berguedà to the escape,
from Matamala to the leafy garden.

Maremagnum Footbridge in the Port of Barcelona (Spain)

 Barcelona,
I still long to hold her once more, oh,
My boots of leather,
From Europe
I gather you know, know,
Every time you have to go
Shut my eyes and you know
I’ll be lying right by your side
In Barcelona
A native man sang in a foreign tongue,
I still ache to know the song that he sung,
Barcelona
Every time you have to go
Shut my eyes and you know
I’ll be lying right by your side In Barcelona
Lyrics of Barcelona

Pont Vell de Pedret (Old Bridge of Pedret) over the Llobregat River in Cercs, Barcelona (Spain)

...
between heaven and here stays, the mountains look down and keeptheir distance, somewhere far off
the sea goes on working for itself.By the waters of the Llobregatno one sits down to weep for the children
of the world, by the Ebro, the Tagus, the Guadalquivir, by the watersof the world no one sits down and weeps.

Viaduct over the La Baells Reservoir near Berga, Barcelona (Spain)

Pus, per més que li donàs
un rei son ceptre de plata
i son mantell d’escarlata
i son tron enjoiellat,
fins de ser rei deixaria
per ses trobes amoroses
i ses muntanyes frondoses
lo Gaiter del Llobregat.

Pont dels Arcs over the Llobregat river in Pobla de Lillet, Barcelona (Spain)

Relámpago de carne hecha de roca,
gesto de invocación incorporada;
anciano de cristal cuya mirada
parece un girasol de doble boca.
En tu oración la luz se ha vuelto loca
llena de mansedumbre exasperada;
Poem to Antonio Gaudí, designer of this bridge

Maremagnum Bridge over the Port of Barcelona (Spain)

Oh! detura't un punt! Mira el mar, Barcelona,
com te faixa de blau fins al baix horitzó,
els poblets blanquejant tot al llarg de la costa,
que se'n van plens de sol vorejant la blavor.
I tu fuges del mar? ...

From the poem Oda  Nova a Barcelona
